Encaustic Painting!

Encaustic Landscape

Encaustic Landscape

Have not shown one of these for a while, someone was painting using Beeswax and dye in the studio during he week and it was on a large scale, very effective.

She was using a special implement which he appeared to be heating up first in the dye which was boiling and then dribling the wax on to the canvas

Being A Artist

The image is King and the image hunter!

A tendencey to soak up the landscape and be inspired to paint it or at least record it in sketchtbook.

Rememberd Places the image is just there and becomes a motife to be used as and when

Ernest Kirchner (1880- 1938) Some Mountain Paintings

A interesting painter of Mountains amongst other things I like this one below very much.

Mountain Landscape Art Print by Ernst Ludwig Kirchner

This one has a nice two tone effeet with colour

This is perhaps a bit more defind which is strange as really it is a night time painting.

And the final one of this selection is this rather , dare I say it jolly looking train! We are still in the Mountains and the train is puffing away going up the mountain.

Babara Rae Contemporary Artist

I have been saving this Artist as I think the use of colour is so exciting! you can almost get drunk on it. It is the artists response landscape .

The painting speaks to you and says things to you about a lanscape that she paints, The mark making as well as the placement of colours.

From the Scotish Colourist background with a look at Howard Hodgkins!!
